A Padaria Farmhouse is a small, two bedroom guesthouse near the beautiful Douro created by four friends; António, a farmer & wine producer; Jacinta, a cooks & botanist; and Amanda, a pharmacist & Maria; a creative. Each has grown up in this specific rolling countryside in the Northern region of Portugal, akin to its natural beauty & the expansive freedom which is reflected in the calm ambience of the place.
Once a bakery, the cottage’s rooms are decorated with simplicity providing a comfortable base to enjoy beautiful moments in proximity to nature. Fresh ingredients are served for breakfast from local producers & Jacinta’s garden. It’s Jacinta too who whips up authentic & traditional recipes on request for dinner by candlelight with the true flavour of Portugal.

The Neighbourhood: The property is nestled on the cusp of the UNESCO world heritage site of the Douro Valley. In the vicinity are many of the region’s finest & most interesting wineries & eateries to indulge in after getting lost wandering the vines that have grown here for thousands of years.

A Padaria Farmhouse is located just outside of the town of Cinfaes near to the banks of the Douro River. Fly to Porto and rent a car for a little road trip and some freedom while you’re there.
